At 17, Licia Chery composed her first album as a school work. She creates a 1h30 show to present it in her school.
At 22, she decides to try her luck in the USA.
She finds a job at the Airport to finance her trip, and for 6 months, she tells her parents she’s going to class when she’s in fact going to work.
Before leaving, she records a second self-made album.
Her trip leads her to New-York, Boston and Canada, where she performs at the Kalalu. She also wins a casting in Brooklyn and the price is her first American gig in Café Omar on January 30th 2008.
Back in Geneva, she starts performing, makes her first music video, wins the Caribana Festival contest and starts performing around Geneva...
In 2010, she raises 100’000€ on a crowdfunding website and releases her first professional album in 2012.
Montreux Jazz Festival, Paléo, Caprices, Licia Chery is even invited to sing with Youssou N’Dour during his performance at the 2014 Paleo Festival.
Inspiration, her last album was released in 2015.
Licia Chery is back in 2017 with a new single.
